9.16. Steering column

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a steering wheel.
	2. Remove casings of a steering column for what unscrew an inclined control lever.
	3. Unscrew two screws from a forward part of a casing.
	4. Unscrew three screws from the lower part of a casing.
	5. Remove the top casing of a steering column.
	6. Remove the bottom casing of a steering column.
	7. Remove the index of provisions of a key in the ignition lock.
8. Remove switches of turns and screen wipers.
9. Remove the ignition lock.
10. Remove the bottom furnish of the dashboard from the driver, then remove the air channel connecting the distributor of air to a heater.
11. In a niche for feet of the driver unscrew screws and remove salon furnish for access to a bracket of support of a steering column. Unscrew the bottom bolt and the top nuts and remove a support bracket.
	12. Note the provision of an intermediate shaft of rather steering column. Unscrew tightening a bolt and remove an intermediate shaft from grooves on the lower part of a steering shaft.
13. Unscrew bolts of the top fastening of a steering column and take a steering column from the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish a steering column and half screw in bolts of fastening of a steering column.

2. Check correctness of installation of a steering column and finally tighten fastening bolts.

3. Establish an intermediate shaft on a shlitsa of the basis of a steering shaft. Put on a carving of a tightening bolt the means interfering unscrewing, and screw up tightening a bolt.

4. Establish a bracket of support of a steering column and freely screw nuts. On a carving of a bolt put the means interfering unscrewing, and fix a bolt a bracket of support of a steering column. Finally tighten nuts of fastening of a bracket of support of a steering column.

5. Establish into place an air line and salon furnish in a niche for feet of the driver.

6. Put the ignition lock.

7. Establish switches of turns and screen wipers.

8. Establish casings of a steering column.

9. Establish a steering wheel.
