3. Engines

3.1. Repair of the SOCH engine established in the car

3.1.1. Introduction

GENERAL INFORMATION

The engine with four cylinders, established cross-section in a forward part of the car. Coupling and a transmission are located on the left side of the engine.

The block of cylinders is made of an aluminum alloy. The cranked shaft leans on 5 main bearings. Persistent half rings are established on the third radical bearing.

In the bottom heads of a rod loose leaves are established. Pistons fasten to rods piston fingers. Pistons from an aluminum alloy also have three piston rings, two sealing and one maslosjemny.

The camshaft located in the top part of a head of the block of cylinders, puts in action a gear belt of a drive and operates valves through the hydraulic pushers located under cams of a camshaft.

Greasing of the engine is made under the pressure created by the oil pump. Oil is sucked in via the mesh filter located in a maslopriyemnik and then arrives via the external established filter to canals of the block of the cylinder. From there oil arrives to a cranked shaft and a camshaft. Bearings of the bottom head of a rod are supplied with oil through internal drilling in a cranked shaft. To camshaft bearings oil also moves under pressure. Cams of a camshaft and the valve are oiled sprayed, also as well as all other mobile details of the engine.

Repair operations which can be carried out on the engine established in the car

The following operations which can be carried out, without removing the engine from the car:

  – removal and installation of a head of the block of cylinders;
  – removal and installation of a gear belt of a drive and pulleys;
  – replacement of oil consolidation of a camshaft;
  – removal and installation of a casing of a camshaft and camshaft;
  – removal and installation of the oil pallet;
  – removal and installation of pistons and rods;
  – removal and installation of the oil pump;
  – replacement of support of the power unit;
  – removal and flywheel installation.
