3.5.7. Cleaning and survey of a head of the block of cylinders

Cleaning

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the remains of old laying from a head of the block of cylinders.
2. Clear a deposit from combustion chambers, then wash up a head in the corresponding solvent.
3. Clear of carbonaceous deposits of the valve, it is possible even with application of a wire brush.

Head of the block of cylinders
1. Carefully examine a head of the block of cylinders on existence of cracks and other damages. In the presence of cracks the head is subject to replacement.
2. Using a metal ruler and щуп, check planeness of an interfaced surface of a head of the block of cylinders. At not planeness more than 0,1 mm it is necessary перешлифовать a head, thus its height should correspond to requirements.
3. Check a condition of saddles of valves. If they are burned, worn-out or have defects, it is necessary to replace them. If wear of a saddle of the valve is insignificant, they are necessary for grinding in.
4. Check directing plugs of valves on wear, inserting into them a core of the valve and moving it aside. Moving should be insignificant. If moving is excessive, take the valve and measure diameter of a core of the valve. If necessary replace the valve.
5. If the core of the valve is not worn-out, means, the directing plug which it is necessary to replace is worn-out. Replacement of directing plugs of valves should be made at service station.
6. If saddles of valves have to be перешлифованы, this operation is necessary for executing after installation of new directing valves.
7. On diesel engines of 1,7 l examine vortical chambers on existence of damages and splits. Small cracks are admissible. Replacement of vortical chambers is necessary, if they are strongly burned and deformed, or landing weakened them in a head of the block of cylinders. The expert should make replacement of the vortical chamber.
8. Check a vystupaniye of the vortical chamber from the block of cylinders. For check of a vystupaniye establish an arm with the indicator of hour type on an interfaced surface of a head of the block of cylinders. Establish a measuring tip of the indicator on a head surface. Establish the indicator on 0, then move an indicator tip on the vortical chamber. On a scale of the indicator read size of a vystupaniye of the vortical chamber. Similarly check a vystupaniye of other vortical chambers.
Valves
9. Check a plate of each valve on local corrosion, прожоги, cracks and the general wear. Check a valve core on wear and a bend. Check wear of an end face of a core of the valve. In the presence of any defects the valve is subject to replacement.
10. By a micrometer measure diameter of a core of the valve in several places on length of a core. Any essential distinction in the received data indicates wear of a core of the valve and obligatory replacement of the valve.
11. If valve are in a satisfactory condition, they should be inserted into the places and are ground in. If plates of valves or a saddle are strongly worn-out, before their grinding in it is necessary to process mechanically or even to replace.
12. Grinding in of valves is carried out as follows. Establish a head of the block of cylinders combustion chambers up on wooden whetstones.
13. Grease with paste for place grinding in on a plate of the valve and a valve saddle, establish the valve on a place and on a plate of the valve establish a sucker with the holder (handle). Rotating the valve a sucker in different directions, grind in the valve, and it is periodically necessary to raise the valve for redistribution of pritirochny paste.
14. If rough pritirochny paste is used, grinding in to make before emergence of a uniform opaque surface on a saddle of the valve and the valve. Then erase used composition of paste and repeat grinding in process with melkodispersny paste. Grinding in to make before emergence of easy gray and opaque color.
15. Carefully remove traces of pritirochny paste, using the corresponding solvent.
Valve elements
16. Check klapanny springs on damage signs.
17. Establish springs to one of end faces on a bed, check a deviation of an axis of a spring from the vertical plane and length of springs. In case of damage of one of springs it is necessary to replace all springs in a set.
18. Replace maslootrazhatelny caps irrespective of their condition.
