PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check axial люфта a cranked shaft is made when it is established in the block of cylinders of the engine.
2. Check axial люфта is made by the indicator of the hour type which arm is established on the block of cylinders of the engine, and the measuring tip leans in an end face of a cranked shaft. Moving a cranked shaft from an emphasis against the stop along an axis measure size axial люфта. The result of measurement indicates need of use of new persistent half rings.
3. In the absence of the indicator of hour type axial люфт a cranked shaft it is possible to measure by an edge щупа, having moved a cranked shaft to one party against the stop and having measured a gap between the radical N2 bearing and cranked shaft.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a cranked shaft, using the corresponding solvent and drain it the compressed air.
2. Check radical and shatunny necks of a cranked shaft on wear, corrosion and cracks.
3. Wear of a shatunny neck is characterized by metal knocks at operation of the engine, especially under loading on small turns and reduction of pressure of oil.
4. Wear of radical necks of a cranked shaft is characterized by strong vibration of the engine and the metal knock increasing at increase in turns of the engine, and also reduction of pressure of oil.
5. Check necks of a cranked shaft on a roughness. Any appreciable roughness specifies that a cranked shaft it is necessary перешлифовать or to replace.
6. If the cranked shaft was перешлифован, check agnails round openings for greasing. In the presence of agnails remove them with a small file or a shaber and carefully clear openings and channels of shaving.
7. Using a micrometer measure diameter of radical and shatunny necks of a cranked shaft and compare results to technical requirements. Measurement of necks make in several points both on diameter, and on length of a neck that will allow to reveal ovality and a konusnost if they are present.
8. Check surfaces of contact of oil consolidation on each end of a cranked shaft on wear and other damages. If wear of a neck from consolidation big, probably is required replacement of a cranked shaft.
9. On some engines if necks of a cranked shaft were перешлифованы for the repair size it is necessary to establish loose leaves of the increased size.
