3.5.3. Removal and installation of the petrol engine together with a transmission

Removal


Prevention

The engine can be removed from the car only with a transmission. Removal of the engine is carried out from under the car.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a cowl.
2. Depressurize fuel system. Remove the accumulator and an accumulator support.
3. Block back wheels, lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports.
4. If the engine understands, merge engine oil and remove the oil filter. Merge cooling liquid from cooling system.
5. Remove a casing of the air filter, remove a forward exhaust pipe, disconnect submitting and returnable fuel hoses from the fuel highway, disconnect an accelerator cable, disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier of brakes and hoses from inlet and final collectors, disconnect electric sockets from electric knots of an inlet collector, weaken collars and disconnect hoses of supply of cooling liquid from a head and the block of cylinders of the engine, on models with air conditioning unscrew a bolt of fastening of the compressor and move the compressor aside, without disconnecting from it hoses, release hoses of central air of air from brackets of fastening and move them aside from the engine, disconnect wires from a starter, the generator, the sensor of pressure and oil level, unscrew the grounding tire from a transmission.
6. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and move it aside from the engine, without disconnecting from it hoses.
7. On models with a mechanical transmission execute the following действия:слейте oil from a transmission, disconnect the electric socket from the switch of a lamp of a backing, disconnect drafts of gear shifting from a transmission, disconnect a coupling cable from a transmission case.
8. On models with an automatic transmission execute the following actions: merge transmission liquid from a transmission, disconnect a cable of a choice of transfers, disconnect electric sockets from a transmission, disconnect heat exchanger hoses from a transmission.
9. Hook capture of the load-lifting mechanism for the power unit and lift until the weight of the power unit will not be perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.
10. Remove the bottom forward frame.
11. Take internal hinges of power shafts from a transmission. Using a soft wire, suspend the internal ends of power shafts to a body.
12. Check that any elements interfering removal of the engine, are removed or disconnected.
13. Unscrew bolts of fastening of draft of the jack of a torque by the right end of a head of the block of cylinders.
14. Establish under the power unit the cart to facilitate extraction of the power unit from under the car. Lower the power unit down the car.
15. Remove captures of the load-lifting mechanism from the power unit and take the power unit from under the car.

Separation of a transmission from the engine

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Mechanical transmission
1. Establish the power unit on the corresponding bars.
2. On models with the steel stamped pallet unscrew bolts and remove the bottom protective plate of a flywheel.
3. Unscrew bolts and remove a starter.
4. Check that the engine and a transmission are reliably fixed. Then unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of a case of a transmission to the engine.
5. Being careful, separate a transmission from the engine so that the weight of a transmission did not press an entrance shaft.
6. Remove directing pins.
Automatic transmission
7. Establish the power unit on the corresponding bars.
8. Unscrew bolts and remove a starter.
9. Remove a rubber cover from a ledge of the oil pallet for access to bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of the hydrotransformer and, turning a cranked shaft, unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer. On engines of 1,6 l there are three bolts of fastening of the transformer, and on l engines 1,8 and 2,0 – 6 bolts.
10. To exclude hydrotransformer falling at transmission removal, move the hydrotransformer on a shaft to a transmission.
11. Establish the power unit on the corresponding bars.
12. On models with the steel stamped pallet unscrew bolts and remove the bottom protective plate of a flywheel.
13. Unscrew bolts and remove a starter.
14. Check that the engine and a transmission are reliably fixed. Then unscrew the remained bolts of fastening of a case of a transmission to the engine.
15. Being careful, separate a transmission from the engine so that the weight of a transmission did not press an entrance shaft.
16. Remove directing pins.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Mechanical transmission
1. Check, that directing pins were established in the engine or a transmission.
2. Establish a transmission to the engine on directing pins. Tighten bolts of fastening of a transmission the demanded moment.
3. Establish a starter.
4. On models with the steel stamped pallet establish the bottom protective plate of a flywheel to a case of a transmission and fix bolts.
5. Arrange the power unit under a motor compartment of the car, hook on the power unit the load-lifting device and establish it in a motor compartment.
6. At installation of the power unit if necessary incline and turn it so that it was established into place, without having caused harm.
7. Combine the engine with a suspension bracket on the right side of a motor compartment and establish draft of the jack of a torque and tighten fastening bolts by hand.
8. Replace oil sealing rings of a power shaft and establish power shafts in transmissions.
9. Establish the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket.
10. After installation of the bottom frame tighten bolts of fastening of draft of the jack of a torque.
11. Further installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Fill in oil in a transmission. Fill in oil in the engine. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system.
Automatic transmission
12. Clear a carving of bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer.
13. Check, that directing pins were established in the engine or a transmission. Grease with greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide an adjusting pin of the hydrotransformer and the plug in an end face of a cranked shaft.
14. Establish a transmission to the engine on directing pins. Establish and tighten the demanded moment bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.
15. Screw in the first bolt of fastening of the hydrotransformer. Turn a cranked shaft and screw in the remained bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer.
16. Establish a starter and screw bolts.
17. Arrange the power unit under a motor compartment of the car, hook on the power unit the load-lifting device and establish it in a motor compartment.
18. At installation of the power unit if necessary incline and turn it so that it was established into place, without having caused harm.
19. Combine the engine with a suspension bracket on the right side of a motor compartment and establish draft of the jack of a torque and tighten fastening bolts by hand.
20. Replace oil sealing rings of a power shaft and establish power shafts in a transmission.
21. Establish the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket.
22. After installation of the bottom frame tighten bolts of fastening of draft of the jack of a torque.
23. Further installation is made in sequence, return to removal. Fill in oil in a transmission. Fill in oil in the engine. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system.
