GENERAL INFORMATION

Engine warming up

"Full gas" or engine warming up idling promote the strengthened wear of the engine and fuel consumption increase.

After engine start at once to get under way from a place. To warm up the engine on average frequencies of rotation of a shaft of the engine.

Uniform speed

The turbulent character of driving promotes significant increase in fuel consumption.

Avoid unnecessary processes of acceleration and braking.

As it is possible go by the last transfer more often, during movement in the city often at speed of 50 km/h it is possible to include the 4th transfer.

At speed from 50 to 80 km/h the expense on the 4th transfer approximately for 25 % is less than fuel, than on the 3rd.

At speed from 70 to 90 km/h the expense on the 5th transfer approximately for 15 % is less than fuel, than on the 4th.

Switch as soon as possible to the following transfer, and on bottom only when already there is no faultless course of the engine.

Idling

The engine consumes fuel and when idling.

Already during stops more than 1 minute it is meaningful to stop the engine. Five minutes of operation of the engine on idling correspond to one kilometer of a way.

Mode of compulsory idling

During a mode of compulsory idling supply of fuel is automatically disconnected, e.g., during movement under a bias or when braking.

During this mode not to "increase speed" and not to switch off coupling that the system of shutdown of supply of fuel for fuel consumption reduction worked.

In due time switch transfers

High values of frequency of rotation of a shaft of the engine increase wear of knots of the car and fuel consumption.

Do not lead up frequency of rotation to high values. Too high speed on separate transfers or steps increase wear of knots of the car and fuel consumption.

Management according to indications of a tachometer helps to save fuel. Try to operate on each transfer the car at small frequencies of rotation of a shaft of the engine (a comment between 2000и 3000 rpm) and with uniform speed.

High speed

The speed of movement is higher, the fuel consumption is higher. At movement "on full gas" you spend a lot of fuel.

The insignificant otpuskaniye of a pedal of an accelerator leads to considerable economy of fuel without considerable reduction of speed.
If you go with the speed equal only 3/4 maximum, you save, without considerable losses in time, to 50 % of fuel.

Pressure of air in tires

Pressure of air in tires below norm leads because of increase in resistance of a kacheniye to increase of expenses for increase in fuel consumption and at the increased wear of tires.

Additional consumers

Inclusion of additional consumers of capacity increases fuel consumption.

It is necessary to disconnect additional consumers (the conditioner, warmed back glass, additional headlights etc.) if their work is not required.

Automatic transmission

"Full gas", кикдаун, the choice of a sports mode and excessive manual switching of steps lead to sharp increase of fuel consumption.

After a choice the D transmission works in an economic mode. It is possible to go by a step of D practically always, by smooth pressing a pedal of an accelerator there is an early switching on transfers to an economical expense.

Luggage carrier on a roof, holders for skis

Luggage carrier on a roof, holders for skis can increase fuel consumption approximately on 1 l/100 of km at the expense of the increased resistance of air.

It is recommended to remove them if they are not used.
