SOCH ENGINES OF 1,6 L
Prevention
At installation of the thermostat it is necessary to establish a new sealing ring.
Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
2. Merge cooling liquid from cooling system. |
3. Weaken a collar and disconnect the top hose from a thermostat casing on the right side of the engine. |
4. Remove a gear belt, an intermediate pulley, a pulley of a camshaft and a back casing of a gear belt. |
5. Unscrew bolts and uncover the thermostat a head of the block of cylinders. |
6. Take the thermostat from a casing and remove a sealing ring. |
|
Check
|
Rough check of the thermostat can be carried out, having suspended it on a thread in the glass vessel filled with water and heating up water to boiling. When boiling water the thermostat should open. Otherwise replace it. |
The temperature of opening of the thermostat is put on the thermostat.
The thermostat which is not closed when cooling water, also is subject to replacement.
Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Clear interfaced surfaces of a cover of the thermostat and a head of the block of cylinders. |
2. Establish the thermostat in a head of the block of cylinders together with a new sealing ring. |
3. Establish a cover of the thermostat and fix bolts. |
4. Establish a back casing of a gear belt, a camshaft pulley, a gear belt and an intermediate pulley. |
5. Connect the top hose to the thermostat and fix a collar. |
6. Fill in cooling liquid in cooling system. |
7. Connect the accumulator. |

PETROL DOCH 1.6, 1.8 AND 2,0 ENGINES L
Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator. |
2. Merge cooling liquid from cooling system. |
3. Weaken a collar and remove the top hose from a thermostat cover. On engines of 1,6 l the cover of the thermostat is established to the case attached by bolts by the forward end of the engine. On l engines 1,8 and 2,0 a cover the thermostat fastens bolts directly to a head of the block of cylinders. Thus it is necessary to remove in addition small hose. |
|
4. Unscrew bolts and uncover the thermostat in which the thermostat (on a photo – the thermostat of the petrol DOCH engine of 1,6 l) is fixed. |
|
5. On engines of 1,6 l remove a sealing ring. |
6 whether. On engines 1,8 of 2,0 l remove laying. |
