3.5.4. Removal and installation of the diesel engine together with a transmission

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a cowl.
2. Remove the accumulator and an accumulator support.
3. Block back wheels, lift a forward part of the car and fix on supports.
4. If the engine understands, merge engine oil and remove the oil filter. Merge cooling liquid from cooling system.
5. Remove a casing of the air filter, remove a reception exhaust pipe, disconnect submitting and returnable fuel hoses from the fuel pump, disconnect a vacuum hose from the vacuum amplifier of brakes and hoses from inlet and final collectors, disconnect electric sockets from electric knots of an inlet and final collector, on engines of 1,7 l disconnect an accelerator cable.
	6. Weaken collars and disconnect hoses of supply of cooling liquid (are specified by shooters) to a head and the block of cylinders of the engine.
7. On models with air conditioning unscrew a bolt of fastening of the compressor and move it aside from the engine.
8. Release central air hoses from brackets of fastening and move them aside from the engine.
	9. Disconnect electric wires from a starter (In), the generator (And), sensors of pressure, level and oil temperature.
	10. Unscrew a fastening bolt (it is specified by an arrow) grounding tires from a transmission.
11. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and move the pump aside, without disconnecting from it hoses.
12. Merge oil from a transmission. Disconnect the electric socket from the switch of lamps of a backing. Disconnect draft of gear shifting from a transmission. Disconnect a coupling cable.
	13. Hook on captures of the load-lifting mechanism for the power unit and lift until the weight of the power unit will not be perceived by the load-lifting mechanism.
14. Remove the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket.
15. Take from a transmission internal hinges of power shafts. Using a soft wire, adhere the internal ends of power shafts to a car body.
16. Check that any elements interfering removal of the engine, are removed or disconnected.
17. Unscrew nuts and remove the right suspension bracket of the power unit.
	18. Establish the cart under a motor compartment of the car. Lower the power unit on the cart and take from under the car.

Separation of a transmission from the engine

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check, that directing pins were established in the engine or a transmission.

2. Establish a transmission to the engine on directing pins. Establish and tighten the demanded moment bolts of fastening of a transmission to the engine.

3. Establish a starter and screw bolts.

4. Move the power unit under a motor compartment of the car, hook capture of the load-lifting mechanism and establish the power unit in a motor compartment. At installation of the power unit if necessary incline and turn it, thus, that it was established into place, without having caused harm.

5. Combine the engine with the right support and tighten fastening nuts by hand.

6. Replace oil sealing rings of a power shaft and insert power shafts into a transmission.

7. Establish the bottom frame of a forward suspension bracket.

8. Tighten nuts of fastening of the right suspension bracket of the power unit the demanded moment.

9. Further installation is made in sequence, return to removal.

10. Fill in oil in a transmission.

11. Fill in in the engine engine oil, and in the system of cooling cooling liquid.
