Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER

Prevention

The head of the block of cylinders is necessary for removing on the cold engine. At installation of a head it is necessary to use new bolts of fastening of a head.


1. Depressurize fuel system. Remove a weight wire from the accumulator.
2. Merge cooling liquid from system of cooling and unscrew spark plugs.
3. Remove a gear belt. Before removal of a gear belt turn a cranked shaft of the engine back approximately on 60 ° (4 teeth) that will allow to establish camshafts so that pressure of a klapanny spring was evenly on all length of a camshaft.
Engines of 1,6 l
4. Remove an inlet and final collector. If the head of the block of cylinders does not understand, it can be removed together with collectors after performance of the following actions:

 – disconnect a reception exhaust pipe from a final collector;
 – disconnect the electric socket from the oxygen sensor;
 – disconnect an air branch pipe and a vacuum hose from the air injector valve.
5. Remove casings of camshafts.
6. Remove pulleys of camshafts and single pulleys of a gear belt.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a back casing of a gear belt to a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Unscrew a bolt of the pump of the amplifier of a steering and move it aside from a head.
9. Disconnect electric sockets from the DIS block and the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid on a head of the block of cylinders.
10. Weaken collars and disconnect the top hose of cooling liquid connecting a head of the block of cylinders and a radiator. Weaken a collar and disconnect the hose of cooling liquid connecting a head of the block of cylinders and a broad tank.
11. Disconnect from a partition of a motor compartment hoses of supply of cooling liquid to a heater to merge cooling liquid from the block of cylinders. After plum of cooling liquid repeatedly connect both hoses going to a heater.
12. Working in a certain sequence, weaken bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders on 1/3 turns for each pass before complete unscrewing of bolts (see fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders).
13. Remove a head of the block of cylinders from the block of cylinders.
.14. Remove laying of a head of the block of cylinders.
L engines 1,8 and 2,0
15. Remove inlet and final collectors. If the head of the block of cylinders does not understand, it can be removed together with collectors after a detachment of all hoses and electric wires.
16. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders.
17. Remove pulleys from camshafts.
18. Unscrew a bolt of fastening of draft of the jack of a torque from an end face of a head of the block of cylinders.
19. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a back casing of a gear belt to a head of the block of cylinders.
20. Weaken collars and disconnect the top hose of cooling liquid connecting a head of the block of cylinders and a radiator. Weaken a collar and disconnect the hose of cooling liquid connecting a head of the block of cylinders and a broad tank.
21. Disconnect from a partition of a motor compartment hoses of supply of cooling liquid to a heater to merge cooling liquid from the block of cylinders. After plum of cooling liquid repeatedly connect both hoses going to a heater.
22. Working in a certain sequence (see fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders), weaken bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders on 1/3 turns for each pass before complete unscrewing of bolts.
23. Remove a head of the block of cylinders from the block of cylinders.
24. Remove laying of a head of the block of cylinders.

Preparation of a head for installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders should be absolutely pure. For their cleaning use a firm plastic or wooden scraper. When cleaning be careful, as the aluminum alloy is very easy for damaging. Check, that the deposit did not get to oil and water canals. It is especially important for greasing system as the deposit can block supply of oil to engine components. If necessary clear channels, check interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders on existence of notches, deep scratches and other damages. If defects small, they can be removed with machining. But at major defects of a detail are subject to replacement.
2. Using a metal ruler and щуп, check planeness of interfaced surfaces.
3. Clear openings under bolts in the block. Bolt screwing up in the opening filled with oil can break off the block because of hydraulic pressure.

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check that the cranked shaft is established in situation on 60 ° back from the top dead point of the piston of the first cylinder. Wipe interfaced surfaces of a head and the block of cylinders.
2. Check that new laying of a head of the block of cylinders has the same type, as the original, and that marking of TORAHS or OPEN is directed up.
3. Establish a head of the block of cylinders on directing pins.
4. Establish new bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders and tighten them at this stage by hand.
5. Gradually and consistently (see fig. Sequence of a tightening of bolts of a head of the block of cylinders) tighten all bolts of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders the demanded moment in some stages.
Engine of 1,6 l
6. Connect hoses of system of cooling and fix them collars.
7. Connect electric sockets to a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Establish the pump of the amplifier of a steering.
9. Establish a back casing of a gear belt, fix bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
10. Establish pulleys on camshafts and single pulleys.
11. Combine all adjusting labels of pulleys with indexes and establish a gear belt.
12. Establish a cover of a head of the block of the cylinder and a casing of a gear belt.
13. Establish inlet and final collectors.
14. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
15. Check that all pipes and hoses are reliably connected, and fill in cooling liquid in system of cooling and screw in spark plugs.
16. Connect the accumulator, start the engine and check it on existence of leaks.
L engines 1,8 and 2,0
17. Connect hoses of system of cooling and fix them collars.
18. Establish a back casing of a gear belt and fix bolts, having tightened them the demanded moment.
19. Connect draft of the jack of a torque for a head of the block of cylinders and tighten a bolt of fastening the demanded moment.
20. Establish pulleys of camshafts.
21. Combine all adjusting labels of pulleys with indexes and establish a gear belt.
22. Establish a cover of a head of the block of the cylinder and a casing of a gear belt.
23. Establish inlet and final collectors.
24. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
25. Check that all pipes and hoses are reliably connected, and fill in cooling liquid in system of cooling and screw in spark plugs.
26. Connect the accumulator, start the engine and check it on existence of leaks.
